As you are getting ready for the holiday this week, we have a few tips for those who may be in the process of packing up and moving after the Thanksgiving holiday. After all, you want to be sure that you are having a memorable Thanksgiving, even if you have the majority of your home packed up to move!

  1. Make it easier on yourself with the dinner for Thanksgiving and consider pre-ordering a few things. For example, a turkey that is already cooked and sliced, sides that you can pop into the microwave, etc.

  2. Use paper or plastic dishes and silverware. No one wants to deal with washing dishes and pans to pack up when they are dealing with packing the rest of their home.

  3. If you are inviting other people to attend a Thanksgiving dinner at your home, let everyone pick something. It will be less stressful for you and you can still get some packing or sorting done that day instead of standing over a stove all day.

  4. Have you considered doing something other than the traditional Thanksgiving dinner? For example, some people who don’t like turkey have a BBQ with burgers or steaks. Other people have pizza! It could be worth considering.

  5. Consider making your Thanksgiving holiday not only about dinner, but about everyone helping to get items packed! It can be a great way to work off some of those calories that you have ingested.

Thanksgiving is a time of thanks and we understand that having to pack up your items on this day can be hectic. But, that doesn’t mean that you can’t have a great dinner and some great fellowship with your family and loved ones!
